Comments
This small open sailing boat, conceived as a regatta club yacht in 1899, is in today’s times a boat for sailors who now enjoy and appreciate the things of the sailing life in a beautiful and simple way. The well-balanced sailing characteristics make for relaxed sailing. The boat is built with diagonal mahogany planks on oak frames. The underwater hull is sealed with glass fabric and epoxy resin. All bonding is done with West System epoxy. The construction period of this classic replica was a great pleasure for the retired master boat builder Franz Köhn, as the plans of Mystik Seaport had to be implemented as accurately as possible so as not to distort the design of the “Wizard of Bristol”. In May 2020, the boat was sailed for the first time on Lake Schwerin.
