Comment
The Colin Archer signature features are the canoe stern and quite exaggerated beam with a hard turn to the full bilge to give the hull buoyancy and a fine shape. As well as his working boats, Colin Archer designed a number of yachts which are remarkably fast under sails. OCTOBER is one of these, designed by Arne Hedlund who took his inspiration from the great Archer originals. The final result is a unique and a very good quality yacht built in 1978 at Sakskobing Boatyard in Denmark. Her first owner Per Moller commissioned the boat with the intention to sail around the world, though he never quite achieved his goal. Anyway she has shown her perfect performance even in light airs and a sense of security in the roughest conditions. Now October is offered in good conditions and equipped for blue water sailing.
