Comment
Abeking and Rasmussen built six 12mR yachts in 1928 on behalf of the New York Yacht Club. These boats were designed by Starling Burgess and two of them are still sailing, one of them is Anitra. She was originally built within 5 months and then taken to Canada. Then she was sailed to New York and over time she participated in many regattas there. She was built according to the second rule of the 12mR regulations of 1928. In 2003 Anitra was brought to Germany in a very desolate condition, where she was then restored by Martin Yachts in Southern Germany. Many structural parts were replaced and rebuilt. After her major overhaul, which gave her a brand new and beautiful appearance, Anitra was brought to Flensburg, where she participated in several regattas around the Fjord and the Danish South Sea, as well as in World and European Championships. Her interior is of high quality and Anitra is not only a good regatta boat, but also suitable for large tours. She is fully equipped, so vacation trips or long transfers for regattas are no problem at all.
