The 6-m-R yacht "Risken" (sail number 74) was created in 1946 by Bjarne Aas. Aas was one of three prominent Norwegian yacht designers (along with Colin Archer and Johan Anker) and, even more importantly for us, his designs were extremely successful particularly in the 6-m-R class. One of his earlier six-metre yachts won the Olympic Gold medal in Le Havre. "Risken" was one of his particularly fast six-metre yachts which was lost. It will be Robbe & Berking Classics' third replica of a historic six-metre yacht after "Nirvana" (Olin Stephens, 1939) and "Apache" (Bjarne Aas, 1939).
