To mark the tenth anniversary of the German-Danish artists’ group “Der bewegte Koffer – den bevægede kuffert”, 12 artists and their guests are showing their anniversary exhibition “The Seven Degrees of Freedom” in the shipyard hall of the Robbe&Berking Museum, Harnisaki 13 in Flensburg.
For the last ten years, the 12 permanent members have held an annual one-week symposium on changing themes and realised exhibitions at various locations in Denmark and Germany.
For the anniversary, the group is showing current works. All former members and guests from the symposia have also been invited to submit and exhibit their perspectives on the theme. In addition, a retrospective from the successful cross-border work is part of the exhibition and shows the wide scope of the project. The diversity of the arts and crafts represented, from applied and visual arts to music and film, illustrates the openness and integrative capacity of the artists’ group with great consistency.
At the opening on 6th August at 4 p.m, Minister Karin Prien, Lord Mayor Simone Lange and Sybilla Lena Nitsch from the SSW will speak a word of welcome, Silke Lazarević will give inside views into the moving journey. Music by Annelie Weißel and Sophia Günst, “Görda”, the short film by Katja Becker and Jonathan Happ “a cinematic accompaniment of the 2020 symposium” and an interdisciplinary performance by Susanne J. Koch and “Görda” will round off the programme and show diverse aspects of the artistic work. Welcome!
During the symposium, you can look over the artists’ shoulders and talk to them every day from 8th. to 13th. August. We look forward to your visit!
