General information
This classic beauty, designed by the renowned designer Bjarne Aas, was laid down in 1948 by the renowned Svendborgsund shipyard and acquired by the current owner in 2011 from a historic museum harbor on the Flensburg Fjord.
A motor for mooring and unmooring in small harbors and a furling genoa, a mainsail, and a tarpaulin were added. The boat is thus equipped to be comfortably sailed solo.
All maintenance work has always been carried out, and the ELANBRI remains an eye-catcher, whether on the regatta course or on day trips.
New sails were purchased in 2017/2018: a mainsail and a furling genoa (with reefing lines below deck). The old sails – some from the year the boat was built – are still in place.
The boat was moored on Lake Constance from 2011 to 04/2025, stored indoors during the winter, and the harbormaster of the Schloss Kirchberg yacht yard carried out extensive restoration work there.
The owner has now decided to hand ELANBRI over to a new owner. In 2025, the decision was also made to take the ELANBRI to Robbe & Berking in Flensburg – there the boat can be viewed at any time by appointment.
The owner is happy to offer his experience and advice to a buyer. He has sailed the Mediterranean for many years, first with the SY Athena, a 12-seater yacht built by Abeking & Rasmussen, and later with the Candida, a J-Class built by Camper & Nicholson – and therefore has considerable experience with “old” wooden boats, which he is happy to share.
