Elmy had until 1960 black painted hull but thereafter showing her beautiful varnished hull of oak which was exchanged with new 1,5 inch oak.

The boat is well kept and looked after by a Boatcarpenter in the Skeppsholmsgarden shipyard, Stockholm in many years.
