For 150 years the FSG has been one of the major employers in our city. Wars, economic fluctuations and not least the competition from large far eastern shipyards make the history of the FSG a very eventful one. But the passion of Flensburg’s shipbuilders, their ability to reinvent themselves with sometimes market-moving innovations, and the courage of changing investors always ensure new perspectives.
From July 7, 2022 to September 18, 2022 we will present an exhibition as exciting as the shipyard’s history itself. With the help of the International Maritime Museum from Hamburg, the Flensburger Schifffahrtsmuseums and the Flensburger Shipyard (FSG), we will show spectacular exhibits from 150 years, many of them have never been seen in public before.
