Goose: Where were you born? Marian Heyerdahl: I was born in Oslo at the Red Cross hospital in 1957. G: Do you still live there? MH: I still live in Oslo, but I am also commuting to Italy as I have my art studios in both countries. G: What does Oslo mean to you? MH: Oslo is a modern town full of galleries and new museums, while in Italy I live in a small village overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. G: How does Oslo connect with your art? MH: The artist scene in Oslo is great. Both the new National Museum and the new Munch Museum add to a greater experience of both old and contemporary art. G: What is your connection to the sea? MH: I have always lived close to the sea. The sound and the smell make me dream. G: And what about boats? MH: I am more connected to balsa rafts and papyrus boats. G: What is special about Oslo?
