General information<\/strong><\/p>\n

IF \u2013 8 Metre Class (8mR) NOR-27 is an elegant and competitive classic yacht offered for sale in excellent condition. Designed by Bjarne Aas in 1929 and built at the Bjarne Aas Boatyard in Fredrikstad, Norway, in 1930, IF represents he tradition of Scandinavian 8 Metre design and craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

IF remains highly competitive today. Most recently, she was sailed by the young all-female team \u201cSailingl8dies\u201d at the 2025 World Cup in \u00c5bo\/Turku, achieving an impressive 5th place among the Classic 8 Metres. A major refit in 2017 included renewal of all standing and running rigging, complete hull restoration to original, new paintjob inside and out, a newly varnished cabin roof, and a redesigned cockpit floor for improved crew manoeuvrability. A mobile solar panel supports the electrical system, and the bilge pump was renewed in 2025.<\/p>\n
