Interior<\/strong><\/p>\n

– very simple and typical interior with bunks on both sides of the saloon<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

History<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Last entries in the yacht’s regatta lists in the autumn of 1926 at the Berlin autumn races on the M\u00fcggel, steered by Max Becke and the ‘Hecht’ team.<\/p>\n

– The Hol di ran was then sailed on the Scharm\u00fctzelsee (near Berlin) and belonged to a Mr Krauskopf from F\u00fcrstenwalde (name: Sommerfreude)<\/p>\n

– In 1945, the boat was to be towed to Russia as war booty. The F\u00fcrstenwalde crew was the last in the tow to break away from the convoy at nightfall. The keel was removed and sunk in the lake, the hull was put ashore.<\/p>\n

– In the mid-50s, the keel was recovered and the ship was put back into service. The original gaff rigging was replaced by a whip mast.<\/p>\n

-taken over by the previous owner Horst Kammler from his estate in October 2011<\/p>\n

-Restoration started in October 2011 and was finished a year later<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Refit works<\/strong><\/p>\n

The following works were carried out in 2011\/2012:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Complete new deck structure incl. deck beams<\/li>\n
  • Renewal of rudder coker, rudder blade and all fittings<\/li>\n
  • Keel bolts and deadwood replaced<\/li>\n
  • Rigging and sails renewed (Arndt Deutsch)<\/li>\n
  • 2018 new wooden mast, drawn by Juliane Hempel, construction of the new mast by Ulli Sch\u00fctte in Niendorf, wood was supplied by the company Touchwood (Sitka Spruce)<\/li>\n
  • Installation of two frame formers to take the load of the shrouds2017\/18<\/li>\n
  • Installation of traveller and new floorboards Cockpit<\/li>\n
  • Sails by Arndt Deutsch<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Comments<\/h2>\n

    Hol Di Ran was built in 1926 for Mr Behrendt & H. Hamann of the Hamburger Segelverein (sail number X 15) by Willy v. Hacht. Hol Di Ran has some special features in the survey:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Stern more like an L-boat,<\/li>\n
    • helmsman sits in front of the foresailer directly behind the superstructure<\/li>\n
    • Built with gaff rig despite the new class regulations of 1926 (now new mast since 2018)<\/li>\n
    • According to measurements very accurately built (size cockpit, weight only 50kg above the minimum, freeboard height)<\/li>\n
    • After extensive restoration from 2011 to 2018, the Hol Di Ran is perfectly prepared for archipelago cruising regattas, or even holiday cruising.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
